Privacy notice
Effective October 2, 2026
In short: the game doesn’t collect personal information. It has no accounts, analytics, ads or cookies. Your progress stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
This notice explains how Kicklock (“the game”) and our website handle information.
1. Who we are
Neon Meadows LLC makes the game and runs this website, neonmeadows.com, including the game at neonmeadows.com/kicklock. We’re a Nevada limited liability company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and we’re the controller of the personal information described here, which means we’re responsible for it. You can reach us at support@neonmeadows.com.
This notice covers the public pages at neonmeadows.com and the game at neonmeadows.com/kicklock. The Creator Desk at neonmeadows.com/creators, for creators we work with, has its own privacy notice. If you play the game on another website, such as itch.io, that website’s own privacy notice covers what it collects.
2. What we collect
Nothing personal from your gameplay. The game has no accounts, and it doesn’t use analytics, ads, cookies, third-party scripts or web fonts. Every file loads from our own site, neonmeadows.com. Our other pages store nothing in your browser.
- The beat is synthesized in your browser (with Web Audio), so no audio is downloaded.
- Songs you add from your device play in your browser, which finds their beat right on your device. The files never leave it: we don’t upload, store or see them, and we don’t keep their names. The list clears when you close the page.
- The mini-strip uses your browser’s Document Picture-in-Picture feature, on your own device.
The only personal information involved is the standard request data needed to deliver the site (section 4) and anything you send us by email (section 5).
3. What’s stored on your device
The game saves your progress in your browser’s local storage, under one key, idle-dance-v1. It holds:
- your total dance time and when you were last here, so that time away can count;
- the moves and outfit pieces you’ve unlocked, and which new ones you haven’t looked at yet;
- your dancer’s look: its body (Slim or Broad) and the outfit it’s wearing;
- your sound settings: on or off, and the volume;
- the age screen’s result, as a band (adult, teen or child). Your birth month and year aren’t stored;
- whether you’ve seen the first tip, and your display settings;
- a random code for this save, so a second tab of the game can tell when you’ve started over. It isn’t linked to you.
It stays on your device and isn’t sent to us or anyone else. “Start over” in the game resets your progress but keeps the age screen’s answer, your sound settings and whether you’ve seen the first tip. To delete everything, clear neonmeadows.com’s data in your browser. Private or incognito windows don’t keep it.
4. Hosting
Amazon Web Services (AWS Amplify and Amazon CloudFront) hosts the game and our website. To deliver the files to your browser, AWS processes standard request data: your IP address, your browser’s user agent (the browser and system it reports) and the address of the page or file requested. Amplify also keeps access logs of these requests for as long as the site is hosted with it, and we can view them in our AWS account. We haven’t turned on analytics or any other logging.
How AWS handles this data is described in the AWS Privacy Notice.
5. Emails to support
If you email support@neonmeadows.com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply to you, and we keep them only as long as needed for that. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace.
6. Children
The game is made for everyone. It doesn’t collect personal information from anyone who plays, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (the age covered by the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA).
The age screen asks for a birth month and year only so the game can set age-appropriate features. The result is kept on your device as an age band, and the month and year are never stored or sent.
If you’re a parent or guardian and your child has emailed us, write to support@neonmeadows.com and we’ll delete the message.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR in Europe, Brazil’s LGPD and California’s CCPA give you rights over your personal information, such as to access it, get a copy, correct it, delete it or object to how it’s used.
- Gameplay: we hold no gameplay data, so there’s nothing about your play for us to access or delete. It’s all in your browser, and you can delete it yourself (section 3).
- Emails: if you’ve written to us, email support@neonmeadows.com to use these rights for your messages.
We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising. Where the GDPR or the LGPD applies, we rely on our legitimate interests to handle the data described here: delivering the site and answering your messages. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD).
8. International
Neon Meadows LLC is a US company. The game’s files may be served from Amazon CloudFront locations around the world, and our email is hosted by Google Workspace, so your information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States.
9. Changes to this notice
If anything here changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. We’ll update it before we add accounts, purchases or analytics.
